Friends, we have good news – the baby’s first spinal surgery was successful!
The baby was born prematurely and immediately faced a life-threatening spinal hernia. He has now undergone the first, extremely important surgery.
In those first hours after birth, a large multidisciplinary team fought for his life – resuscitators, neonatologists, maternity doctors, anesthesiologists, and neurosurgeons. Each of them gave their all, fighting for every second, every breath of the baby.
Thanks to their coordinated and professional teamwork – his life was saved. And today they continue to fight to help our little hero survive and grow stronger.
This fight is a special one for him, as this condition combined with premature birth requires immense strength, medical care, and love from the very first moments of life.
This surgery is just the first step in a long journey. A critical period of recovery and medical supervision lies ahead, as such children are at high risk of developing hydrocephalus and may require further interventions. We will remain by his side.
While the baby’s mother was in intensive care after a difficult delivery, thanks to you we provided everything needed for the operation and delivered special formula for premature babies to help him gain weight, grow stronger, and prepare for the main stage – full recovery.
