We, the Charitable Organization "Mother and Child", systematically support children undergoing treatment in the burn department of Kyiv City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 – this is where children are urgently transported in critical cases for emergency medical care.
We provide young patients with modern supplies and necessary instruments so that the team of doctors can provide burn care at the level of the best world medical practices.
This affects not only the effectiveness of surgeries, treatment and healing, but also the child's subsequent quality of life, recovery and minimization of the consequences of the injury.
One such story is Nika's story.
Nika is a first-grader from one of Kyiv's schools. Before Easter, the girl suffered burns and was treated for almost three weeks together with her mother.
During this time, Nika received all the necessary medical care using supplies from the Charitable Organization "Mother and Child".
During this period, we visited Nika twice and supported her on her path to recovery.
These footage are from the day of her discharge.
Today, Nika is already recovering at home.
We sincerely rejoice with her family that the most difficult stage is already behind, and ahead – a return to normal childhood, recovery and many happy moments.
This is the most important result for us.
And meanwhile, we are preparing something special for Nika.
