Today we want to share our collective joy — a testament to how crucial mutual support is and how we together give children the chance for a full and happy future.

Special thanks to the neurosurgical team at Okhmatdyt, led by Pavlo Plavskyi, and the pediatric team under the leadership of Olha Zarudna. Their high level of professionalism, tireless work, and humanity ensured the success of this challenging treatment.

Thanks to their efforts, two-year-old Serhii has been given the chance not only to take his first steps but also to enjoy a complete childhood.

We are thrilled to report that Serhii has been discharged home! He is already taking his first steps and standing confidently. We believe your support has given him the opportunity for a healthy and happy childhood.

This story is about a mother with two children left without the support of a husband. The older child, Serhii, was diagnosed with spina bifida and couldn’t walk. He needed urgent surgery, but the mother also had an infant she couldn’t leave behind.

In such cases, our organization provides social housing. This is a place where mothers and their children can live while the child undergoes treatment, and the mother can also care for the infant.

Thanks to the emergency fund supported by Alina and all of you, Serhii underwent surgery. The treatment was lengthy due to comorbidities, and the family stayed in Kyiv for almost three months. During this time, they had a roof over their heads, essentials, and access to the best medical care.

This story is just one example of how we together change the lives of children and families in difficult circumstances. Thank you to each of you!
