Friends, we are sharing news about our newborn beneficiary Volodymyr.
Little Volodymyr has successfully undergone another brain surgery!
A shunt system was installed for the baby – a special mechanism that helps drain excess fluid and reduce pressure on the brain. For such a tiny boy, this is an extremely important step that gives a chance for stabilization and further development.
We sincerely thank the team of St. Nicholas Children's Hospital – neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, medical staff, and the entire multidisciplinary team who fought for Volodymyr's life every day.
Your professionalism, experience, humanity, and dedication to your work are what save children's lives every day.
Special deep gratitude to the head of the neurosurgery department Taras Mykytyn and attending physician Ihor Ihorovych Homanyuk – for their decisions, for their responsibility, for the saved child's life and a chance for a future for this baby.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who was by Volodymyr's side: for donations, for sharing, for prayers, for faith and support.
Each of you became part of this rescue story.
Now Volodymyr has a path of recovery ahead. But the most important thing has already been done – a shunt system has been installed that will help the baby live, develop, and have a chance at a full childhood.
Thank you for being with us.
Together, we are a big heart that saves children.
