The baby, who underwent complex brain surgery and went through a difficult path of treatment and recovery, started walking today.
For most children, this is an ordinary stage of childhood.
But for our little wards, this is a real victory.
Behind these small steps are surgeries, hospitals, rehabilitation, sleepless nights, family worries and enormous support from people who did not stand aside.
