Today is a special day for us – we are celebrating the discharge of twins Taisia and Tymofii, who have traveled a difficult path from birth to a full life at home.
These little ones were born in a critical condition, and unfortunately, Taisia suffered severe brain damage. But thanks to your support, the care of doctors, and the strength of life itself, this little girl managed to fight through and win.
For a whole year, we stood by the family, helping through the toughest moments, ensuring urgent surgeries – nine in total. Each of them was a crucial step toward recovery. Just before the twins' birthday, Taisia underwent one more critical surgery – the installation of a programmable shunt system, which now helps maintain her health.
Today, they are healthy, happy, and finally home!
We are endlessly grateful to St. Nicholas Children's Hospital, especially to the treating doctor Ihor Homeniuk, the head of the department Taras Mykytyn, as well as the anesthesiologists, resuscitators, and the entire multidisciplinary team who cared for Taisia and Tymofii all this time.
But the greatest thanks go to each of you who became a guardian angel for Taisia during these nine surgeries. It is thanks to you that these children now have a chance at life.
This is yet another victory over circumstances, proof that together we can make true miracles happen!
Thank you for being with us! Together, we are a big heart!
