Friends, we are sharing important news about our little Matviy.
Little Matviy successfully underwent another complex brain surgery – the baby received a shunt system: a programmable shunt and a special additional system that helps more accurately control his condition and reduce the risk of complications.
We sincerely hope that this intervention will be an important step towards little Matviy having a chance for a full, active and happy life without constant struggle with complications.
For this little boy, this is an extremely important stage of treatment, because the shunt helps drain excess fluid from the brain, control intracranial pressure and protect the child from dangerous consequences.
Little Matviy has been going through an extremely difficult struggle for life and a healthy childhood since birth. Hospitals, emergency hospitalizations, constant examinations and neurosurgical interventions have become part of his very small life. During this time, he has endured pain that not every adult could survive – almost 30 surgeries behind him.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the entire team of neurosurgeons who save children's lives every day and implement modern technologies, bringing advanced experience from around the world so that Ukrainian children have a chance for life and a future.
