Today is a special day – our little Milana turns one year old!
It’s hard to believe that only a year has passed since the moment we first saw this tiny girl – fragile, with a serious diagnosis, yet with an incredible will to live.
Little Milana was admitted at two months old with hydrocephalus – a condition in which fluid accumulates in the brain and threatens life. She has undergone several complex operations in which a shunt system was placed to drain excess fluid from her brain.
It was not an easy journey – with intensive care, risks, tears and hope. But you were always there.
We have supported little Milana from the earliest days of her struggle – providing everything she needed during treatment: surgical materials, medications, diapers, care items.
And today, looking at the smiling little girl, we understand – every donation, every repost, every warm word mattered.
Endless gratitude to the doctors at Ohmatdyt National Children’s Hospital who became little Milana’s guardian angels.
Special thanks to Pavlo Mykolayovych Plavskyi, head of the neurosurgery department; neurosurgeon Andriy Ivanovych Harkusha; treating physician Olena Mykolaivna Bakaieva; and the entire medical staff under the leadership of Svitlana Yakivna Starenka.
Thanks to you, little Milana is celebrating her first year of life today!
Huge thanks to each of you – our friends, followers and donors. You are part of her story.
And today, as little Milana celebrates her first birthday, we celebrate with her. For every smiling photo of hers is proof that kindness has the power to save lives.
Together we are a big heart that beats for children’s lives.
Together we create miracles that change destinies forever.
