The best Mother’s Day!
If you want to spend the day well – visit old friends.
We met Anya and Vika five years ago, when they were in despair, holding babies in their arms with nowhere to live. Both were orphans, never having a home or family support.
Thanks to the kind hearts of our donors, we were able to buy two homes for these mothers who had nearly lost all hope. There were tears of joy, fear of whether it would all work out – but most importantly, Anya and Vika finally had homes of their own.
Today, they laugh and talk about their daily routines. They have happy families, and every time they remember the day they first stepped into their homes, they cry – because they truly know the value of life.
“I really love my mom,” says Anya’s son Maksym, cuddling close to her. He’s already the little man of the house – he knows every row in the garden and shares plans for this year’s strawberry and potato harvest.
Karina and Dasha – Vika’s daughters – are cheerful chatterboxes, proudly showing off their baby chicks and happily helping care for them.
The children are happy by their mothers’ side. Anya and Vika are building plans for the future – and maybe this is exactly what it means to see the result of a shared act of kindness.
And most of all – the joy in the children’s eyes. We gratefully delivered bicycles, toys, clothes, hygiene products and sweets for our little helpers.
Happy Mother’s Day to all!
