Friends, we have wonderful news about our ward, Artemii!
Artemii, who recently underwent complex brain surgery, has already been discharged home. This is another important step on his path to recovery.
Let us remind you that the boy was urgently hospitalized in critical condition. After examination, doctors discovered an inflammatory process in the brain that caused dangerous complications and required emergency neurosurgical intervention.
During the surgery, Artemii received a shunt system that helps drain excess fluid, reduce intracranial pressure and maintain a stable condition.
Today, Artemii is already home, with his closest family. Recovery, check-ups and medical observation still lie ahead, but most importantly – the boy has taken another big step toward a healthy childhood.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the team of St. Nicholas Children's Hospital – neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, nurses and the entire multidisciplinary team for their high professionalism, care and daily fight for children's lives.
