Spina Bifida is not a verdict. Little Serhii proves it with his own story.
Little Serhii was born with a severe diagnosis – Spina Bifida and needed complex spinal cord surgeries that saved his life and gave him a chance to feel his legs. This would have been impossible without modern consumables and timely intervention.
We met little Serhii when he was in the NDSL "Okhmatdyt" hospital and required urgent surgical intervention. Thanks to the doctors, your support, and our joint work, the boy received everything necessary for the operation and a chance at life.
Our sincerest gratitude goes to our doctors – neurosurgeons, anesthetists, pediatricians, neonatologists, rehabilitation specialists, and the entire medical staff team of NDSL Okhmatdyt, who fight for the lives of such children every day. It was their professionalism and care that allowed little Serhii to take his first steps toward a full childhood.
Today, little Serhii is over 2 years old, and his story is an example of strength and faith:
