Friends, we are sharing important news about our little ward Galina-Nicole
The girl has successfully undergone a complex neurosurgical procedure – reconstructive cranioplasty.
Galina-Nicole was born with a severe congenital malformation of the skull, which created dangerous pressure on the brain and could lead to serious developmental disorders. In such cases, one must act as quickly as possible – and most importantly, this precious time was not lost.
The surgery became an extremely important stage in her treatment – a step toward relieving compression, proper skull formation, and a chance for a healthy future
Now the little one is under medical supervision, recovering from the procedure, and gradually gaining strength. A path of rehabilitation still lies ahead, but the most difficult part is already behind her.
We are immensely grateful to the team at Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital – neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, resuscitators, nurses, and the entire team that fights for children's lives every day.
Special thanks to the Head of the Neurosurgery Department, Pavlo Mykolaiovych Plavskyi, and his entire team – for their professionalism, balanced decisions, and golden hands that gave the girl a chance for recovery. It is thanks to you that this story has a happy continuation.
