Nothing brings more joy to the charitable organization "Mother and Child" than successful stories of saving our little ones!

Today, we want to share one of these stories with you, our dear benefactors.

Diana was born in May with a severe diagnosis of Spina Bifida. She urgently needed expensive medical supplies for surgery on the first day of her life and additional surgeries on her brain.

Unfortunately, Diana's large family didn’t have the necessary funds and could only hope for the kindness of strangers.

Thankfully, with your support, we were able to care for Diana from her very first hours, providing everything she needed for her surgeries and recovery.

First, the baby underwent emergency spinal surgery to close the Spina Bifida defect. Then, she faced complex brain surgeries for shunting, which she bravely endured.

Meanwhile, imagine the psychological support her parents, especially her mother in the hospital, needed during this time…

With ten years of experience, we know how crucial timely surgery and proper medical care are for children with such severe diagnoses! Without urgent help, lost hours and days often lead to irreversible consequences for these children.

That’s why we founded the Ukrainian Association of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Together, we aim to save as many children as possible.

Diana’s story has a happy ending. We regularly visited her, bringing your thoughtful gifts.

Now, she is home, delighting her siblings with her radiant smile.
