Friends, we rush to share good news – our ward Oleksandr, who was born with the congenital diagnosis Spina Bifida, is already home after a complex neurosurgical operation.
This is a severe congenital spinal cord lesion where children require constant medical supervision and numerous surgical interventions – to replace systems, shunts, and drains that support the work of the brain and body.
Such operations often have to be performed urgently, as their life and further development directly depend on it.
Thanks to the professionalism of the doctors and your support, the boy successfully completed all stages of treatment and is now recovering next to his family. This is a new stage for him – a life without pain, with a chance for a healthy childhood.
Our gratitude to the NDSL Okhmatdyt team for their dedication, care, and daily fight for children's lives.
Sincere thanks to the team of neurosurgeons – Pavlo Mykolaiovych Plavskyi and his colleagues, who performed the complex surgery.
We express our gratitude to the resuscitators, anesthesiologists, and nurses who helped Oleksandr recover after the operation.
Special thanks to Alina – thanks to you, it was possible to promptly provide Oleksandr with everything necessary for the operation, without losing a single precious minute.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, supported, and prayed for Oleksandr.
Each of you is a part of this miracle.
Together we give children a chance at life.
Together we are a big heart.
