Friends, we have great news – the baby, named Veronika, has been operated on.
This tiny infant has just survived her first great victory – a complex spinal cord operation. The girl was born with a diagnosis of Spina Bifida. Such children require surgical intervention in the first days of life.
And this victory for Veronika was made possible thanks to each of you – your contributions, shares, and sincere participation.
We express our sincere gratitude to ANS Affiliate Networking for inviting us to a charity auction on the eve of Oleksandr Usyk's fight in London. At this auction, a unique lot was sold — boxing gloves signed by the undefeated world champion Oleksandr Usyk. We directed all the funds raised to purchase medical supplies for urgent operations for our wards, including Veronika.

For children with a diagnosis of Spina Bifida, the first hours after birth are decisive. It is this emergency and timely intervention that gives a chance to preserve:

We have been by the side of such babies for 20 years and know how important it is for doctors to have everything they need and for the family to have support. Because it is in these first days of life that her future is formed.
Little Veronika has a long road of treatment and rehabilitation ahead of her. And we will be there so that she can grow, develop, and one day take her first independent step.
