Little Mariia is one of the children whose fate became intertwined with the most terrifying events of our time. She was in "Okhmatdyt" on that dreadful day when the hospital was hit by a missile attack. At that moment, she was being taken to surgery. But instead of the operating room – explosions, chaos, and an urgent evacuation.
We were there. Little Mariia was transferred to another hospital, where she immediately underwent emergency surgery. We covered all medical expenses, paying for two complex brain surgeries. It was months of struggle, anxiety, and faith that she would survive. And she did.
Even when some time later little Mariia was rushed back to the hospital due to a shunt malfunction – we were there again. Once more, we did everything possible to ensure she received the necessary treatment and a chance to live.
Today, little Mariia received a gift from St. Nicholas. In our charitable organization, St. Nicholas comes not only on his holiday but all year round – bringing children not only treats but also essential support: medicines, surgeries, and aid.
