I congratulate all of you on the Feast of the Annunciation!
Friends, today I come to you with good news that makes our world a better place!
I want to introduce you to the story of little Maksym from the Poltava region, who has been fighting for his life since the very first day. That was when we first met. I immediately traveled to Poltava to see him. I met his mother in complete despair and saw a baby in critical condition, as he needed multiple complex and costly surgeries.
The family has many children, and the father has a disability. There was no time to wait—the regional hospital had exhausted all possibilities for treatment. A transfer to the Institute of Neurosurgery was urgently needed, as the doctors there have the best experience and capabilities.
At that moment, a kind-hearted person learned about Maksym, and thanks to their insistence and full financial support, the baby was transferred to the Institute. For many months, we all fought for his life, covered the costs of expensive surgeries and treatments, and prepared for the main operation.
And today, we received the most wonderful news—Maksym is ready for surgery! And once again, his benefactor, who has been supporting him throughout this journey, covered all the necessary expenses!
Friends, this is a reminder that kindness and human life are deeply connected, and each of us deserves good news. Let’s celebrate this moment together for little Maksym!
