New life stories

Today is a special day for little Denys and his family – after all the challenges he faced, he is finally home with his loved ones. This was made possible thanks to all of you – everyone who supported, helped, and believed in his recovery.

Little Denys has endured a difficult journey in his fight for life. From birth, he faced a severe brain condition that required constant medical supervision and multiple surgeries. His little heart endured every trial, and the doctors did everything possible to stabilize his condition.

Now, the most critical stage is behind him – the final surgery to implant a shunting system, which will allow little Denys to live and develop fully. This is not just a medical procedure; it is his chance for a childhood free from pain. We are immensely grateful to everyone who stood by his side, supported him, and helped him reach this day.

A huge thank you to our incredible doctors – people with golden hands and big hearts! Every day, they save children's lives, working tirelessly and dedicating all their skill and experience to helping the youngest patients. The team at St. Nicholas Children's Hospital, including the head of the neurosurgery department Taras Mykytyn and neurosurgeon Ihor Homeniuk, did everything possible to stabilize little Denys, perform the necessary surgeries, and give him a chance for a healthy future. Their dedication and professionalism are true miracles that take place in operating rooms and hospital wards.

We sincerely thank Alina for her help in funding the emergency medical fund and for her kind heart that responded to little Denys’s struggle.

We also extend our gratitude to Yulia and Anna Alkhim for their love for children and for spreading the word about his story. Thanks to you, precious time was not lost, and the result is clear – together, we are giving children a future.
