We've known Kristinka since her very first day, even before she had a name. The tiny baby was rushed from the maternity hospital to an urgent surgery by ambulance due to a congenital spinal cord defect—Spina bifida.
Kristinka’s mother was in despair, as she physically couldn’t help her baby because she had her own health challenges and was still in the hospital after a difficult delivery.
The charity "Mama and Child" has been caring for children with Spina bifida for many years. Such babies require urgent spinal, and often brain, surgery. Speed and efficiency here are a matter of life, as they determine the future of these children.
And together with you, we gave this little one a chance for a full and happy future!
Words can’t describe the family’s gratitude for saving their child’s life. Thank you to every kind heart that was there and shared warmth with this newborn angel.
