For over 20 years, the charitable organization 'Mother and Child' has been supporting children battling a severe diagnosis – Spina Bifida. This is a difficult journey that often requires not only urgent surgeries but also continuous support due to possible complications.

Unfortunately, shunt dysfunction is one of the biggest threats to children with this diagnosis. Shunts, which are installed to normalize intracranial pressure, can fail, putting young patients' lives at risk. In such cases, rapid response and the professionalism of doctors are key to saving lives.

Recently, we faced another challenge: Vanya’s life was at risk due to shunt dysfunction. The little boy was rushed to the hospital with severe headaches. However, thanks to the prompt action of doctors and your support, an urgent intervention was successfully performed. And now we are happy to announce – Vanya has been saved!

We would like to express our immense gratitude to neurosurgeon Vadym Ivanovych Ziabchenko and the entire medical team: neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and all medical personnel who did everything possible to bring Vanya back to life. Your expertise, kindness, and dedication are a true gift that you give to children every day.
