Friends, today we share incredibly important news – little Anna has been discharged home!
Her story is a true example of the strength of modern medicine, timely help, and human kindness.
Anna was born severely premature and had a severe congenital diagnosis – Spina Bifida.
This is a condition where part of the spinal cord comes out, and such an operation must be performed in the first hours and days after birth. Not only the child's life but also their ability to feel their legs and have a chance for full development depends on this.
The first days of Anna's life were a real test. Doctors had to perform complex spinal cord surgeries to save the little one.
Thanks to the professionalism of the medical staff and modern technologies, Anna successfully underwent the surgical procedures. She went through a difficult post-operative period and has now returned home – to her own walls, where the love and warmth of her family await her.
We sincerely thank the doctors of the neurosurgical and neonatal departments of the "Okhmatdyt" Center for Children's Medicine for their professionalism, care, and golden hands, which save the tiniest patients every day.
These are the Angels in white coats who give children a chance at a life that cannot be made up for later.
