Symbolically, exactly five years separate these two photos.
October 30, 2020.
Little Yuliya, just after a complex brain surgery.
Then – a tiny girl with big, brave eyes and a huge will to live.
Back then, we believed everything would work out – even when the doctors gave no prognosis.
Even when it was hard to think about the future, we didn’t ask questions – we simply believed.
And today – exactly five years later.
The same date, but a different story.
We are together again, but now Yuliya is a grown-up, beautiful, smiling university student who came for a routine check-up.
Her wide smile and warm hugs are the answer to all the questions we ask ourselves every day:
Where do we find the strength, what inspires us, and why do we do what we do?
We sincerely thank Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital – the entire coordinated team of neurosurgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, nurses, neonatologists, everyone who stood by this child back then.
Your professionalism, humanity, and strength are an example of how small great miracles happen every day.
Yuliya's story is a vivid proof that even the most difficult diagnoses and complex neurosurgical interventions can end in happy smiles.
You are the ones who fight for life when others have stopped believing.
You are pride, hope, and angels in white coats.
You save children – and that is priceless.
For us, the charitable organization “Mother and Child”, it is an honor to stand by your side in the most difficult cases for over a decade.
These reunions are not just memories – they are living stories of saved lives.
Then – it was a fight. Today – it is the result.
We sincerely thank everyone who was there back then – who rescued, supported, and believed.
This is a shared victory of a united medical team and all those who gave Yuliya a chance to live.
Because every saved child’s life is our shared miracle.
And today, that miracle has a name – Yuliya Bohovyk.
Yuliya, you are amazing!
We are incredibly happy to see you again.
You are beautiful, simply beautiful!
We recognized you only by your eyes – those same strong, kind, and bright eyes.
You are our miracle, our joy, and our inspiration.
P.S.
Yuliya, thank you for your warm hugs.
They still keep us warm, even in this cold weather.
