Emilia says hello! Do you remember this little one? She’s now home and sharing her first steps of progress with us!
We’ve known Emilia since her first day. Back then, she was transferred alone from the maternity ward to the ICU for an urgent surgery to address her congenital spinal cord defect—Spina bifida.
Our years of caring for children with Spina bifida have shown that they need immediate assistance with spinal and often brain surgeries. The timing of these interventions is crucial for the future of children with this diagnosis.
Together, we were able to support Emilia and help her through these challenging stages of treatment and rehabilitation.
You have given her a chance at a full and happy life! Words cannot express our gratitude for your help. We call everyone who supported this little one Earthly Angels, for you have changed her future.
She’s had multiple surgeries, and you, dear friends, were there for every challenging step, caring for her, helping her through the difficulties. To support her and her family, we also passed along your gifts to her throughout the treatment.
