Friends, we want to share warmth and hope with you: our little Emiliia has been discharged home from the hospital.
This delicate girl, who is 9 months old today, is special, strong, and unbreakable – just like her family. A family with three children, and whose father defends Ukraine.
He, an Armed Forces of Ukraine serviceman, came from the front line to pick up his daughter from the hospital. He hadn't seen his little daughter for six long months. Six months without a child's smile, hugs, or first "goo-goo"... This moment of reunion – is priceless. Joy beyond words. Tears filled with happiness.
Emiliia went through a difficult course of treatment, including brain surgery. And today, she's home. In the arms of her loved ones, safe, surrounded by love.
We thank the team of neurosurgeons at NDSL Okhmatdyt for their special, individual, truly unique solution that saved little Emiliia's life.
The neurosurgery department, led by Pavlo Mykolaiovych Plavskyi, fought for her life every day.
