Today, little Matviy is home.
Behind these simple words – over a year of struggle, hundreds of anxious days and almost 30 brain surgeries.
Since birth, his life has been spent between hospital wards, intensive care units, examinations and emergency neurosurgical interventions.
During this time, little Matviy has endured what not every adult could bear. And all this time, we were there.
Together with the doctors, we fought for every chance for the boy.
Provided necessary supplies for surgeries.
Helped the family in the most difficult moments.
Provided necessary items.
Celebrated holidays with little Matviy even when he spent them in the hospital.
Rejoiced at every small victory and supported him when it was especially hard.
Recently, little Matviy underwent another complex surgery, during which he received a modern shunt system. We truly believe that this intervention will be another important step toward stability, development and a happy childhood.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the doctors of Okhmatdyt, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, intensive care specialists, nurses and the entire medical team who have been fighting for little Matviy's life for years. Your professionalism, experience and dedication create real miracles every day.
Special thanks to Alina, Denys and his family, and Kateryna for supporting the Emergency Fund. Thanks to your compassion, we were able to provide little Matviy with the necessary shunt systems and everything needed for his surgeries on time.
We sincerely thank our partners TM Betis for high-quality children's clothing for our little wards, and our Swiss partners Switlo – for diapers and care products for children undergoing treatment and recovery.
And special thanks to every person who, during this time, donated clothes, shoes, toys, hygiene products, made donations, prayed, supported with kind words and believed together with us.
Today, little Matviy is home.
Recovery, observation and new challenges still lie ahead.
But today, we just want to rejoice together with him and his family.
Because sometimes the greatest happiness is to return home after a long struggle.
Together we are a big heart that saves children.
