A shared joyful announcement! Little Milan, who was hospitalized at just 2 months old with the severe diagnosis of hydrocephalus and underwent several complex brain surgeries, has finally been discharged home! She had a system placed in her brain to help drain fluid, and now her condition is stable. This strong girl and her family have walked a challenging path, but thanks to the efforts of many caring people, we are celebrating this victory together!

We sincerely thank our heroes in white coats — the doctors of NDSL Okhmatdyt, who give children a chance for life every day, even in the most challenging situations. Special thanks go to the head of the neurosurgery department, Pavlo Mykolayovych Plavskyi, and his entire team of neurosurgeons, as well as the treating neurosurgeon Andriy Ivanovych Harkusha, for their skill, professionalism, and dedication. We thank the neonatologists and anesthesiologists for their constant attention to every detail and their fight for the health of the youngest patients.

Special thanks to Dr. Olena Mykolayivna Bakaieva for being by Milan's side day and night, fighting for her life, supporting her and her family, and giving hope during the most challenging times. A heartfelt thanks to the entire department, led by Svitlana Yakivna Starenka, for their care, attention, and compassion, which were integral to the recovery process. Your golden hands and hearts are a true miracle that saves children’s lives! We thank the entire medical staff for their care, empathy, and support. You not only heal but also give children the warmth, hope, and love they so desperately need.
