Today the world celebrates Premature Babies Day

The world celebrates Premature Babies Day - a day that symbolises the strength, endurance and indestructibility of little ‘rushed’ babies, their parents and doctors who fight for these tiny lives every day.

For more than 20 years together with you we have been saving these children and giving them a chance for a happy future.

Neonatologists and intensive care specialists deserve special thanks. They are those who, from the first minute of life, help ‘rushed’ babies to take their first breath and grasp the chance for life. Behind every step of their recovery is a team of doctors: neurosurgeons, neurologists, paediatricians, ophthalmologists, surgeons, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists and many others. It is thanks to their selfless labour that children, who even weighed only 500 grams at birth, today become adults, healthy and happy.

The first photo shows our beneficiary, who was born with a critically low birth weight of only 500 grams. Thanks to the efforts of doctors, she is now smiling happily to the world. And the bouquet of flowers in the third photo is a gift from a child rescued more than 10 years ago. It is a reminder that every child saved is a gift to all of us.

The fourth photo is of a student who is already 20 years old. Once upon a time, she was also the same baby for whose life doctors fought. Her story is proof that this fight is priceless.

This day is special for us. Every day we fight for such children, support their families morally and financially. Over the 20 years of our activity, the Mother and Child Charitable Organisation has been able to save thousands of ‘hurry-ups’, giving them a chance for life, health and a happy future. This is a joint victory of doctors, parents, philanthropists and everyone who believes in miracles.
