Social Centers – Helping Mothers with Infants

Unfortunately, the lives of young mothers with infants are far from always cloudless and stable.

Sometimes, a woman with a tiny baby suddenly finds herself homeless and in need of urgent help.

Similarly, this happened to a girl we previously helped when her child was born. An unexpected situation – and the poor soul again found herself in difficult life circumstances: on the street, even without outerwear, with only her child in her arms...

CO "Mother and Child" reacted, as always, quickly and responsibly. Thanks to your caring and continuous participation in charitable activities, we were able to immediately shelter the affected, transport and settle them in a social center, providing them with essential living necessities.

Not everyone knows what social centers are referred to in our similar posts. So, we are happy to tell you, and for some, to remind you.

Back in 2005, with the aim of preventing early orphanhood, CO "Mother and Child" initiated and developed a program for creating social centers for mothers and children in every region of Ukraine. Soon, it became state policy.

Today, under our care are 10 social centers supporting needy mothers with infants.

The recent situation once again proved how important the existence of such institutions is for vulnerable segments of the population. And how good it is that with your support, we can timely rescue them from critical life circumstances.
