On Mother's Day – we gave a holiday to mothers in Fastiv

Motherhood has a different story for every woman.

For some — it is support, family and a strong shoulder nearby. For others — a path that has to be walked almost alone, in difficult life circumstances, in vulnerability, fear and great responsibility for a new life.

This is felt especially acutely during war, when anxiety, instability and uncertainty are added to the usual challenges of motherhood.

For 20 years now, we at the Charitable Organization "Mother and Child" have been systematically supporting the social center "Mother and Child Together" in Fastiv — a place that becomes a temporary home and a point of recovery for women in the last months of pregnancy and in the first, most vulnerable period of motherhood.

Here live mothers with children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances: women without family support, orphaned mothers, those experiencing complex psychological conditions, including postpartum depression, and those who simply need time, space and support to recover and start a new stage of life.

For Mother's Day, together with our benefactors, partners and responsible Ukrainian businesses, we came to the center to create a day of care, attention and warmth for these women.

We held an art workshop, gave gifts from the cosmetic brand Tweity, the Bunny Nails team gave the mothers beauty procedures, and our flower partner Fancy Flowers helped fill this day with beauty, light and a sense of celebration.

Because sometimes support is not only about big decisions. Sometimes it is about simple gestures of care that, at the right moment, can become a new point of support for a person.

And every mother needs to remember not only about responsibility, but also about herself, at least for a moment.

We thank everyone who shares this mission with us. Because it is thanks to such joint initiatives that we can not just help, but restore women's sense of dignity, support and faith in the future.
