Marathon brought closer to systemic help for children

Friends, amidst numerous current concerns, I almost forgot to share my impressions of the charity marathon that took place on Sunday.

But I really want to, because it was a truly wonderful day, rich in inspiring acquaintances and emotions.

A team of enthusiasts, united by a common idea – to ease the lives of children with the challenging diagnosis of Spina Bifida – laid the foundation for future effective interaction with the caring public.

Diagnosis experts and leading doctors comprehensively conveyed to all present information about the specifics of Spina Bifida and the extreme importance of timely medical assistance. Convincing real-life examples from the experience of little patients who were present at the event are the best proof that misfortune is closer than future parents might imagine. And the quality and level of life of future generations depend on the creation of specialized centers in Ukraine for qualified medical support for children diagnosed with Spina Bifida!

It's pleasant to recall how we, together with the little heroes, overcame the symbolic distance of the run. No words are enough to convey the general mood and, especially, the impressions from the efforts of children with limited abilities!

Personally, I sincerely advocate for the prompt creation of the aforementioned centers.

After all, it is the tiny ones with Spina Bifida who are the priority of our CSO. Because surgery is necessary within the first day, and often we have only a few hours to organize help.

Therefore, issues related to urgent assistance, prompt treatment, family support, and further social support became a significant reason for me to agree to be the Honorary Head of the Spina Bifida Association in Ukraine. Thank you, Misha Lovha, for your trust!

I am also sincerely grateful to everyone who supported the marathon with their direct participation.

We have a great common goal – to save lives and timely change for the better as many children's destinies as possible.

I believe that this Sunday's marathon powerfully launched the process of achieving it!
