Daily work that saves children's lives in Ukraine

Friends, today we want to share what best describes your kindness, our daily work, and the importance of each of your support.
This is about what we do together. About what saves lives.

We help not only pay for consumables for urgent surgeries.
Our work is where there is no one else. Where someone is alone with misfortune. Where action is needed now.

When a mother leaves the hospital after a difficult childbirth and can barely stand, with no one to carry her things – our volunteers are nearby. They support, provide a shoulder, drive, help.

When a child is discharged from the hospital, but home is cold – because the power is out again, because there's no heat – our volunteers are the first to arrive, heat the apartment, bring heaters, and prepare the space for the baby's arrival.
And very often – we search for any place to bring the mother and baby.

When an explosion destroyed a home, and there's nowhere to return, we find a safe place where the child can wait out the tragedy, receive support, undergo rehabilitation before the next surgery.
We are especially grateful to those who provided social apartments – thanks to this, children don't end up on the street.

When a mother arrives from another city and there's no one to meet her – we meet her, drive her to the hospital, don't leave her for a minute.

When there's no power at home, and a baby needs to be fed now, we bring thermoses and special formulas. Because a pause is unacceptable.

When there's a shortage of diapers, hygiene products, or medicines, we provide them within the first hours.

When a child loses their mother, we're there from the first bottle – up to the most complex surgeries.

When a family is broken by war – half destroyed, half in shock – we support adults too, because in their hands are children who can't wait.

Yesterday was a terrible day. People were pulled from under the rubble. Some – already without hope.
And the only thing keeping us going today is the ability to act, help, save.

We live in constant readiness. We have no time to comprehend the full scale of tragedies.
And the only source of strength that keeps us from stopping is that we can respond.

We are immensely grateful to doctors who sometimes call right from the ICU: "A child was born. The mother is in critical condition. Surgery is needed within the first hours."
And we know – together with you, we can help. This is the meaning of our work.

Thank you to the benefactors without whom such rapid response would be impossible.
Thank you to everyone who supports us daily.

Thank you to the people who provided social apartments so children wouldn't wait in the cold or dark during tragedy.

Thank you to Humanitarian Nova Poshta for the opportunity to deliver the most essential items to children quickly and free of charge.

And important news.
Very soon we'll be able to help even more. We're moving towards launching a major project – a place where children whose parents are under rubble or temporarily unable to be with them will have shelter, warmth, psychological help, and initial support.
A place where a child won't be alone in the first hours after tragedy.
A place where the path to recovery begins.

Thank you to everyone who is nearby.
Thank you to everyone who saves.
Together we are a big heart that gives children life.
