Comfort for moms and babies behind bars

A woman becomes most vulnerable during pregnancy and motherhood, regardless of whether it's usual living conditions or behind bars and barbed wire.

Traditionally, we care for pregnant women and mothers with infants who are in places of deprivation of liberty. And such support is simply invaluable, as often they have no one to expect help from.

Recently, we learned about the need to equip a living room for a mother and child in the Chernihiv pre-trial detention center. We immediately got to work!

And thanks to your support, we have already provided everything necessary, from children's furniture, strollers, changing tables, to hygiene products, baby clothes, and toys. Everything needed for a comfortable stay for mom and baby is already being put to good use!

Also, we especially wanted to gladden and support the expectant mother, who is due to give birth soon! Therefore, our best wishes were embodied in a baby box with necessary and useful items for the newborn, as, unfortunately, the state does not provide baby boxes for women giving birth behind bars.

Thanks to all kind hearts who joined in to provide everything necessary for mothers and babies who, due to certain circumstances, will spend their first years of childhood in difficult conditions. It's not easy, but we can help make these conditions as homely and friendly as possible for the child and mother!
